Vera Musgrove is veteran dancer, leader of a National Basketball Association (NBA) dance team, five year collegiate coach and a consultant for an NAIA school and pocesses the skills needed to teach, train and inspire young dancers with patience and encouragement. While a student at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, she danced and lead the Morehouse College's dance team, Mahogany-N-Motion. In 2004, she was selected by the current Director of Bands to direct this team. Since that time she has made several lasting improvements for the team. Under her leadership the team placed second in its first dance/cheer competition, completed several fundraisers and has strengthened its Alumnae network. Most recently she was a member of a committee which had the task of developing a game day atmosphere at Life University in Marietta, Georgia. As Life re-established its presence in NAIA basketball, she worked directly with the University’s President as the dance team developer. Vera helped develop rules and regulations, audition protocol and a performance style. Life University’s D.C. Dancers have a solid foundation and a clear path for future seasons.
