February Workshops!

Metro Dance Workshop

Gwinnett School of Dance February 18th, 2012 12:30-2:00 pm : 8~12 yr olds 2:00-3:30 pm : 13~18 yr olds $20:00 modern, jazz, hip hop, ballet & lyrical Adult Master Class 3:30-4:30 pm $15.00

This workshop will leave you feeling energized and happy as you will discover how combining modern, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, & ballet together through choreography can add to the freedom of dance.
In this workshop we will do a fun warm up to get us going that includes modern jazz isolations, stretch, basic ballet and modern floor work followed by across the floor combinations to get us moving and introduce you to some new steps that touch on modern jazz, hip hop and ballet.
If you currently take classes, have not in years or maybe you always wanted to take a class but have been hesitant, this workshop is a safe class for everyone to enjoy the benefit of dance.

 

Hip Hop Workshop

Gwinnett School of Dance February 25th, 2012 12:30-2:30 pm Tuition $25:00.

Darnell Powell has literally "danced with the Stars!". He has been a choreographer for and performed as a touring dancer with Oukast, Ciara, Kid Money, Kilo Ali , Dj Tazz, Da-Organization, and many more. He is the creator of the dance style ATL Crank and made it one of the southern regions' hottest dance craze which can now be found in the latest Hip Hop videos. He teaches dancers the tools to not only do the moves, but shares his wisdom on how to nail that audition!
